13 imagesA captured season of my youth between the years 1999 to 2003 in this collection from St. Albans, Queens. These portraits of friends, family, and strangers explore how the familiarity of childhood has become a distant memory. Youth have become adults, boys become fathers, girls no longer play with dolls but give birth to the reality of raising a child before their "time". Living in this interstitial space - surrounded by community, prison, new life, death, school, and family - inspired me to hold on to the path that was most familiar in my work; my family friends and the city.

9 imagesHurricane Sandy was the deadliest and most destructive hurricane of the 2012 Atlantic hurricane season in United States history. Hurricane Sandy struck Far Rockaway Queens October 28th 2012 with Rage uprooting the shore’s boardwalk leaving its planks in peoples homes. Thousands of cars were demolished by the waves; others were elevated by the water and floated to different areas than where the owner had originally parked. People memories drowned in flooded basements and homes. But the worse part was the time it took for this community to be restored back to normalcy. This project is titled "Turn The Lights ON"
